How to print musica practica homework on 1
page, saving ink, staying legible and large
There are three screens 1. the back
screen with the pulldown menus, 2. the
front screen with the staff and 3. the keyboard
screen. All three must be visible when you print, but can be compressed so your
print outs only take 1 page, are legible and large enough for me to read. (courtesy of Frank P.)
- Pull
down front screen so the top screen is more isolated.
- Resize
back screen (middle of the top right navigation buttons), grab bottom edge
and pull down so is below edge of front screen
- Resize
front screen, scroll up so staff is close to top,
and change font size of front screen. (click on little notes to the top
left of screen) This will maximize image size and minimize waste of space.
- Any
part of keyboard that you want to include must be on the surface of the
back screen (pull this down and drag the portion of the keyboard screen
upwards so the keyboard is on it.
- Pull
down the front screen so the white of the front screen covers the back
screen (saves ink). Click on the keyboard to bring it to the front.
- Before
printing click on the back screen (with title bar).
- Alt + print
screen captures just the active screen and will give a minimum of
extraneous screen.
- Open a
word doc and expand the margins to within a .5” of the outside. This will
make the image larger.
Below is an example of the results. The first example is
before I expanded the document margins. The second is the same captured image
that was pasted after I expanded the margins.
